The submersible slurry pump is common kind of slurry pumps.
However, there is a problem in the conventional submersible slurry pump. This kind of pump can only deal with small particle size of the transporting compare to horizontal slurry pump.
This is an intractable problem for submersible slurry pump customers who need to transport large particles.
Based on this demand, we redesigned some slurry pumps to meet customer requirements.

The following case is a sample for slurry pump redesign.
One client asked to pump max 80mm solids contained slurry of tailing.
But the ordinary submersible slurry pump can not meet the requirements of dredging this kind of tailing.
Because the flow rate is 400 cubic meters per hour with a total head of 20m, and required a 6inch pump, but the particle size is too big for a 6inch submersible slurry pump.

After checking the parameters, it was found that the ordinary submersible slurry pump could not meet this demand because the flow rate and lift were not large, but the over-flow particle size was large.

However, the horizontal gravel pump 8/6E-S model meets all customer parameters and has a maximum solid handling diameter of 127 mm. After several times of discussion with the customer.
we have technically modified this horizontal centrifugal gravel pump into submersible slurry pump that meets customer requirements.
